THE POWER OF COVENANTS

WHAT IS COVENANT?
A Covenant is a mutual agreement between two parties, whether equal or not equal, which has a sign and is sealed. A covenant is not complete unless it has a sign and a seal.

How To Enter Into Personal Covenant With God

Now, I will reveal and explain to you, the various types or categories of covenants.

TYPES OR CATEGORIES OF COVENANTS

There are many types of covenants. But these types of covenants can be categorized or grouped into these two.

1. COVENANT BETWEEN EQUAL PARTIES:

For example covenant between man and his fellow man.

2. COVENANT BETWEEN UNEQUAL PARTIES:

There are two examples under this category:
a. Covenant between man and the devil
b. Covenant between man and God

Now, let me explain these examples one after the other.

1. COVENANT BETWEEN MAN AND HIS FELLOW MAN:

An example is the covenant between David and Jonathan in 1 Samuel 20:17-23 when Saul, Jonathan’s father plotted to kill David. They sealed it with the name of God.

2. COVENANT BETWEEN MAN AND THE DEVIL:

This types of covenant is seen in occultic groups. Members of such cults enter into covenant with the devil. They promise to work for the devil and the devil promise them temporal riches and protection. They seal this types of covenant with their own blood.

3. COVENANT BETWEEN MAN AND GOD:

An example of this type of covenant is the covenant between God and Abraham in Genesis 15. God promised Abraham that he will bless him and make him the father of multitude of nations. Abraham promised to serve God all the day of his life and Abraham sealed it with a sacrifice and the sign of the covenant was the circumcision of all male child in Abraham’s lineage.

THE MOST PERFECT AND EFFECTIVE COVENANT – THE ETERNAL COVENANT

Another example of covenant between man and God was the one sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ, the son of God on the cross of Calvary.
Other covenants were either scaled with human blood or blood of animals, but this eternal covenant is sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ who is God himself.
He is both the chief priest and the sacrificial lamb. What a mystery!
Other covenants are renewed once in a while with the blood of animals, but in this eternal sacrifice, Jesus Christ shed his blood once and for all.

WHAT CAN BIND OR DESTROY COVENANTS?

Every covenant is bound or sealed with blood. A covenant is sealed with blood and also a covenant can be destroyed with only one blood.

WHOSE BLOOD CAN DESTROY OTHER COVENANTS?

The only blood that can destroy other covenants is the blood of Jesus Christ. It can destroy covenants between man and his fellow man. Also it can destroy covenants between man and the devil.
No blood apart from this blood can do this.

HOW TO ENTER INTO PERSONAL COVENANT WITH GOD

Covenant with God Almighty is the best of all covenants. You can enter into personal covenant with God. You everything to gain and have nothing to regret unlike the covenants with the devil.

The devil gives you temporal riches, protection or fame which you have to pay for. He might give you riches and take you children or your joy. He does not give you anything free of charge.

But God gives you everything free of charge, without collecting a line from you. And his gives last forever.
Why not enter into the covenant that last forever?

All you need to do us to submit yourself to God and do his will.
Run away from sins.
Receive his body and blood in the Holy Eucharist (for Catholics) regularly in a state of grace.
